Linda Burt wrote her first short story and acquired her first library card on her Mother’s Royal typewriter at age 6. She quit school at 16, had her only child at 17, received a GED from Emily Griffith Opportunity School at 19 and after 7 years graduated from Metropolitan State College in Denver, Colorado in 1976.
After graduation Linda worked as a caseworker and an administrator of non-profit corporations. She received a Juris Doctorate from the University of Wyoming in 1991 and served as the Executive Director of Legal Services of Southeastern Wyoming and the Wyoming American Civil Liberties Union.
Linda continues to work, lobbies for progressive causes, and is always writing.
